: Sri Lanka has a long and proud history of kings who ruled the island for more two thousand years . 

: The earliest recorded king was, king vijaya , The first kingdom in Anuradhapura . From that time onward many gread rulers contributed to the development   of the history . 

: One of the most famous kings was king Dutugamunu , He united the island by defeating king Elara . and became a symbol of nation pride . 

: Another important ruler was king parakramabahu . He believed    that , not even a drop of water should Flow into the Ocean without serving mankind . 

: Every king of Sri Lanka contributed in same way to the progress and protection of the nation . Their services can be seen in different areas such as religion, irrigation , unity and culture.

 : The kings of the island played  avital rale in proftecting and spreading the religion . 

: Last king is king Sri wickramarajasingha .  

: I am always respect in our kings .

The history of a country is very important . my fauvarite subject is history . I dont know why . Theare many things we can take from past imformetion for today and tomoroow . i like to  learn the history of many countries . Among them  i specially like to learn about  my countrie history .Day by day history becomes new . my enthusiasm to study history keeps growing even more .Sri kankan history is very diffrent.
